- 1.5 lbs lamb or beef, cubed
- 2 large onions, finely chopped
- 4 tomatoes, pureed
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/4 cup yogurt
- 1/4 cup cooking oil
- Salt to taste
- 1 packet (3.5 oz) Achari Gosht Masala
- 1/4 cup water (or as needed)
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the cubed meat and brown it on all sides.
- Pour in the tomato puree and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oil starts to separate.
- Mix in the yogurt and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent curdling.
- Add the entire packet of Achari Gosht Masala and salt to taste. Stir well to coat the meat.
- Add about 1/4 cup of water (or more, depending on your desired gravy consistency) and bring to a simmer.
- Cover the pot, reduce heat to low, and let it cook for 45-60 minutes, or until the meat is tender and the gravy has thickened. Stir occasionally.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
Homemade Multigrain Rotis
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Aashirvaad Whole Wheat Multigrain Flour (20 lb bag)
- Approx. 1 cup warm water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ghee or oil (optional, for cooking)
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the Aashirvaad Whole Wheat Multigrain Flour and salt.
- Gradually add warm water and knead to form a soft, pliable dough. Add more water or flour as needed.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
- Divide the dough into small balls.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out each ball into a thin, round disc (roti).
- Heat a griddle or tawa over medium-high heat.
- Place a roti on the hot tawa and cook for about 30 seconds until small bubbles appear.
- Flip the roti and cook the other side for about 1 minute.
- Using tongs, carefully place the roti directly over a low flame or press lightly against the tawa to puff it up. Cook for a few seconds on each side until done.
- Brush with ghee or oil if desired.
